Esomar Launches 'AI Alliance'

Global MR membership body Esomar has established an AI 'Alliance', aiming to bring together the industry's experts and community voices to develop 'guidance, learning and shared perspectives on the responsible use of AI in research, insights and analytics.'

The new, member-driven initiative will help the sector build shared understanding, develop practical resources, connect expertise and support responsible innovation 'with human judgement, transparency and trust at the centre', according to the association. This reflects Esomar's choice of AI as one of the two key pillars of its Strategy 2030 mission.

The Alliance is structured around three complementary workstreams:

• Ethics, Code and Quality - including alignment with the ICC/Esomar Code and principles around transparency, consent, bias, governance and quality;
• Thought Leadership and Best Practice; and
• Showcasing excellence through Events, Training and Awards.
