In Germany, telephone fieldwork specialist Advanced Market Research (AMR) has announced five appointments, part of a major restructuring led by its recently-returned Managing Director and company founder Ulrich Buchholz.
The firm is focusing on strengthening its core product, the interviewer field force - both by growing its field management and account management teams, and expanding its CATI centre in Düsseldorf. The five new arrivals are Carolyn Gerbrands, Titus Köhler, Nadine Yahya, Sydney Schüler and Nada Lukic, AMR's international team is growing by five new positions.
Three of the hires are in field management, and will strengthen recruitment, training and quality assurance for interviewers. Two are in account management, and will enhance the advice and support given to clients.
Gerbrands is an experienced CATI interviewer and field supervisor, whose twenty plus years of MR and data collection experience includes work at Royal Dutch Shell Laboratory and HGFV Marketing. She speaks Dutch, English, French and German, and as an Assistant Field Manager will be responsible for the recruitment, training, and onboarding of interviewers.
Köhler previously worked at AMR from 2022 to 2024 as Field Director and now returns as Field Manager. He brings experience from companies including Phaydon Research + Consulting, Mediascore and IHR Teststudio, and will be responsible for assembling interviewer teams for survey projects, as well as interviewer quality assurance.
Yahya joins as a Junior Field Manager, with a master's degree in Entrepreneurship from Hochschule Heilbronn and a bachelor's degree in Business and Language from Friedrich Schiller University Jena. In addition to Germany she has worked in Portugal, Qatar and the UAE.
Schüler is originally from the USA, and holds a bachelor's degree in Communication and a master's degree in International Management from IU International University of Applied Sciences. Her experience includes a number of years in B2B market research and consulting at DTO Consulting. She will work with a range of international clients.
Lukic's in-depth quant and qual experience comes from work at US panel and MR tech firms Ivy Exec and InnovateMR, and from her time as Business Development Supervisor at WPP in Germany. Born in Serbia, she holds a master's degree in Economics with a focus on Marketing from the University of Novi Sad. As Account Manager at AMR, she will build and expand client relationships in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
The Düsseldorf CATI Centre has been used more intensively again in recent years, having shifted to remote-only during the pandemic. The operation has now been expanded and will include interviewing for projects across Germany and Europe, in addition to training, quality control and coordination. The firm says it is also recruiting interviewers worldwide, expanding its network.
'I'm delighted that, just a few months after my return as Managing Director of AMR, I'm already able to announce such far-reaching structural changes,' says Buchhollz (pictured). 'Throughout, our people remain at the centre of it all - whether that''s our new colleagues or the rebuilding of our interviewer field force right here in Düsseldorf. These structural changes at AMR are necessary to position the institute for continued success in the future.'
