Nielsen has upgraded its Streaming Content Ratings product (SCR) - it will now deliver data daily instead of weekly, matching availability for linear TV; and will cut reporting delay for its weekly Streaming Top 10 listing by two weeks.
SCR clients will now receive data each business day, covering viewing that occurred two days earlier. The first of the more timely weekly Streaming Top 10 reports is expected today, covering viewing from 31st August to 6th September
Brian Fuhrer (pictured), SVP Product Strategy and Thought Leadership, comments, 'While Nielsen has made a number of material improvements to streaming measurement over the years that have broadened and deepened platform and program coverage, this may be the most significant enhancement to Streaming Content Ratings since its launch in 2017. As the speed of change across the media landscape increases, providing our clients with more immediate, up-to-date audience data helps them keep pace with the consumer.'
