US firm flowres has launched SlideBuilder, a PowerPoint add-in making 'curated insights accessible to researchers in the same environment where presentations are created.'
flowres started life in 2019 as myMRPlace, adding transcription services in 2021 and AI functionality from 2023 onwards. flowres.io is a qual research platform supporting the complete workflow, from participant recruitment and online fieldwork to analysis and reporting, all within a connected workspace and allowing researchers to continue working with familiar tools. The software integrates with Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet.
The new SlideBuilder tool brings analysed summaries, themes and quotes from flowres.io directly into Microsoft PowerPoint, where they can select the evidence they want and generate presentation slides within their existing decks. Differentiating itself from 'fully automated' AI presentation solutions, the tool aims not to replace the human judgement involved in building narratives, instead allowing researchers to decide what enters the deck, how findings are structured and how the story unfolds.
The tool's design places particular emphasis on maintaining template fidelity, noting that 'PowerPoint templates can be complex and highly customised.' The firm suggests that 'Many tools take users from 'Prompt to Ppt', but those taking users from 'Data to editable Ppt' are rare.'
Founder and CEO Jiten Madia (pictured) comments: 'Every researcher knows what it is like to spend evenings rebuilding analysis into slides. It is repetitive work. We built SlideBuilder so researchers can spend more time shaping the narrative and less time recreating work they have already completed.'
The tool is available for a free trial across the US and Europe. The firm is online at www.flowres.io .
