British-based research and analyst firm Futuresource Consulting has appointed Richard McDonald as CEO and Kathy Million as Chief Operating Officer.
Headquartered in St Alban's, Hertforshire, Futuresource combines proprietary research with deep sector knowledge and direct access to its analysts. The firm says it is developing its business across professional AV, consumer electronics, the entertainment industry and the education sector, and that the new arrivals bring complementary experience in strategic investment, technology and operational leadership which will both deepen existing relationships and help the company reach new audiences.
McDonald (pictured below) brings extensive M&A experience, from leading transactions in the healthcare technology space. He also led a first successful funding round for Magma Power, a renewable energy venture developing proprietary technology to harness energy from underground magma reservoirs. He brings master's degrees in finance and human resources, and has also been involved in acquiring a family of patents around synthetic and 3D imaging for applications in artificial intelligence.
Million (pictured above) brings more than three decades of experience in operational leadership, business development and customer relationships, and is currently President and COO of Futuresource's sister company BCC Research. Earlier she was Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at Eli Global, leading the development of a process covering global opportunity identification, acquisition qualification, deal structuring and due diligence. Her acquisition experience spans healthcare, gaming and trading, as well as addiction and recovery businesses. Earlier she worked in leadership roles at PwC and TBM Consulting Group, and in senior account management positions at Netsertive and DealCloud.
Chris Mcintyre-Brown, who had served as the company's MD for three and a half years, having joined it in 2008, stepped down from the role earlier this month.
The firm, which says it is also in the process of refreshing its brand and digital presence, is online at www.futuresource-consulting.com .
