Global CRM business Salesforce has agreed to acquire Loops, an analytics platform tapping machine learning models to continuously monitor business performance, explains changes in key metrics and identify opportunities to improve.
Loops can be triggered directly from Slack and email workflows, continuously monitoring key performance indicators, identifying trends and anomalies, and proactively identifying what's driving change. The transaction is expected to close in early November and is subject to customary closing conditions - once this is concluded, Salesforce says it plans to bring Loops' technology and specialized talent into its Tableau division.
Mark Recher, EVP & GM of Tableau, states: 'Tableau's mission has been helping people see, understand and act on data. Loops accelerates this mission, using powerful agentic AI to uncover the drivers behind business performance and surface where teams and agents can take action in real time.' Tom Laufer (pictured), CEO and co-founder of Loops, adds: 'We built Loops around a simple idea: analytics should help businesses understand what drives their results and decide what to do next. Salesforce and Tableau share our vision for making actionable analytics accessible for every organization. Together, we'll have the opportunity to bring what we've built to customers at an entirely new scale.'
