NIQ Starts Agentic Commerce Partnership with Google

Consumer intelligence firm NIQ is collaborating with Google, adding its global retail and product intelligence to the tech giant's AI commerce ecosystem to improve product discovery and local availability.

The deal aims to enhance Google's Shopping Graph of more than 60 billion product listings with NIQ's Commerce Intelligence, and also sees NIQ making expanded use of Google Cloud and Gemini for across its global workforce. The companies say their partnership will help make agentic commerce 'even more reliable and measurable', with NIQ's Product Intelligence for more than 250 million products and Store Intelligence from its tracking of retail store locations and sales across 90 countries used to help consumers identify relevant products and assess local availability.

NIQ will also integrate Google's open-source market mix modeling framework, Meridian, into NIQ's marketing measurement platform Cadence, to provide brands with an always-on solution for measurement, testing, and spend optimization - they can also feed their own real-world purchase data into Meridian models and run location-based experiments with Meridian GeoX, to help optimize additional spend.
