Circana Building AI Core with Anthropic's Ode

October 30 2026

Consumer data company Circana is working with AI transformation company Ode with Anthropic, to develop technology for 'faster, more flexible, and more actionable insights.' This includes building end-to-end agentic workflows and an in-house AI engineering team.

Stuart AitkenOde was officially launched only this year, through a partnership between Anthropic, Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and a group of investors. The company helps clients move from AI experimentation to full-scale deployment and focuses on areas where AI can have the greatest impact. With Circana, it will build a governed agent platform where teams can build, test and deploy agents in one place; agentic workflows, beginning with data processing, trend forecasting and product classification; and an in-house agent team of Circana engineers, trained to build and deploy agents and 'enabling operators to own the goals and quality of the agents in their areas.' The firms aim to achieve this by building 'a reusable and scalable foundation' rather than standalone productivity tools, thereby facilitating faster development of new tools in future.

Circana President and CEO Stuart Aitken (pictured) comments: 'AI only matters if it makes our clients' decisions better and faster. We are turning some of our most complex, manual processes into fast, scalable workflows, with Circana's data and industry expertise firmly at the center.' Ode CEO Chris Taylor adds: 'AI works best when it gives experts more room to use their judgment. Circana's analysts carry instincts that took years to sharpen. We're thrilled to work alongside them and amplify the impact of their expertise.'
