Attention intelligence platform xpln.ai has promoted Dominic Di Talamo and Massi Mekla to new Chief Commercial Officer posts, respectively covering Northern and Southern Europe. Di Talamo's role also includes 'Growth Markets' in APAC and the Middle East.
Founded in Paris and now headquartered in New York for US operations, xpln tracks attention across YouTube, Social, CTV and the open web, as well as its impact on outcomes. Its approach combines large-scale eye-tracking, contextual signals, predictive models and 'deep creative analysis.'
xpln helps clients apply attention measurement to media planning, campaign optimisation and investment decisions across markets. The firm says its new regional structure brings together commercial leadership and client management, and provides better support.
Di Talamo (pictured above) has served as the company's UK MD for the past year, folllowing roles at Audigent / Experian; Smart Media Technologies; and ad tech company MiQ, where he spent more than seven years in Account Management and Bus Dev positions, latterly as Head of International Sales. Mekla (pictured below) has spent around two years as xpln's MD France, and now adds responsibility for Spain, Italy and Belgium. He previously spent eight years at marketing services company adot, latterly as Chief Revenue Officer, after working at illumin and CANAL+.
The appointments follow seven office openings across the UK, Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America over the past twelve months, in which the two promotees have played a major part. Xpln says New Dubai, Belgium and Germany offices will open in January, supported by country managers. CEO and co-founder Fabien Magalon says having thus extended the firm's international footprint, 'The next step is about turning that presence into a truly connected global organisation.' He adds: 'Dominic and Massi's expanded responsibilities mark an important step in our ambition to make attention intelligence a standard part of how advertisers plan, optimise and evaluate their media investments worldwide.'
