New Maritz Automotive Role for Tim Rogers

October 8 2003

Maritz has announced that William T. (Tim) Rogers, previously President and CEO of Maritz Research, has been appointed to the new role of President of the company's international Automotive Group. Michael Brereton replaces him at the head of the Research division.

The move signals Maritz' increasing emphasis on the automotive sector. Rogers, 48, will be responsible for expanding Maritz' business in the sector on a global basis. He joined Maritz in 1980 and has spent all but five of the intervening years in its Automotive Research Group.

Rogers has helped to grow Maritz Research into one of the world's largest custom and market research organizations, and leaves it in good shape, having defied the downturn to post its third highest ever earnings in 2002.

CEO Steve Maritz says the automotive industry has long been an important area of focus for his company: 'Now, with Tim at the helm, we will further refine our ability to help our automotive clients achieve their strategic business goals using the full range of Maritz capabilities, from research and incentives to product launches and more'.

Rogers himself is looking forward to further building the automotive business: 'I'm returning to an industry I know and love, an industry where Maritz has tremendous resources to offer'. He officially assumed his new role on Oct. 1, and will continue to be based at the Maritz headquarters in St. Louis.
