Senior VW Exec Joins Agency

Automotive specialist R. L. Polk & Co. has appointed Kevin McCann, formerly a regional MD at Volkswagen Group, as Senior Vice President, Asia-Pacific. He will be based in Beijing and will report directly to Chairman, President and CEO, Stephen Polk.

McCann was previously managing director of Southeast Asia and the Pacific at Volkswagen Group Singapore Pty Ltd., and played a leading role in developing the Audi brand in China. He joined the automotive industry in Australia following studies at Western Australian Technical College.

In his new role, McCann, 49, will be responsible for the company's strategies and objectives for the Asia-Pacific region, including offices in Australia, China and Japan, and will oversee business opportunities in the region including New Zealand, Korea and Thailand.

According to Stephen Polk, McCann's 'highly successful record of directing organizations and his knowledge of data-driven automotive solutions are key assets he will bring to our Asia-Pacific operations'.
