London-based pharmaceutical specialist Insight Research Group has appointed former director Paul Mannu as a Consultant and a new member of its senior research team.

As well as its UK base, the Cello-owned company also operates in North America as Insight Health US. Turnover for the group in 2011 was £21m, with a headcount of 120.

Mannu joins after running his own healthcare qual market research and consulting business, Cam Med Research, for the past fourteen years. He had previously spent nine years working as a Senior Director at Insight Research Group, when he provided ad hoc qual and quant services to clients.

Earlier, Mannu worked as a Business Analyst for NAPP Laboratories, and as a Sales Consultant for 3M’s hospital healthcare and medical devices arm. During his career, he has also worked as a cardiac nurse at The Royal London Hospital.

In his new role, Mannu will focus on new approaches to communications, advertising and influencing research.
