Dirk BeyerIn the US, cross-media analytics company MarketShare has promoted Dirk Beyer to EVP, Chief Science and Innovation Officer.

Beyer joined in June 2011 as Senior Vice President, Marketing Science and Analytics. In his new role, he will lead a team of marketing scientists developing analytics solutions for marketing attribution and optimization.

Before joining, he was Science Fellow at DemandTec, after it acquired his previous employer, M-Factor, where he was Chief Scientific Officer, managing the analytics team. Prior to this he was Principal Scientist and Research Manager at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories, working on the team that won the 2009 Edelman Award for achievement in operations research. He holds a Masters degree in Education and a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Leipzig University in Germany, and is the author of many papers and a multiple patent-holder.
