In the US, media measurement specialist Arbitron has appointed a new board. The company also approved the payment of a quarterly cash dividend of 10 cents per common share.

The ten members of the new board are: Shellye L. Archambeau, CEO of MetricStream; David W. Devonshire, former EVP and CFO of Motorola, Inc; John A. Dimling, former Chairman Emeritus and former President and CEO of Nielsen Media Research; Erica Farber, President and CEO of the Radio Advertising Bureau; Ronald G. Garriques, CEO and Director of Gee Holdings LLC and former President, Communication Solutions Group of Dell Inc; Philip Guarascio, Chairman and CEO of PG Ventures LLC and former VP, General Manager of General Motors Corporation's North America Advertising and Corporate Marketing; William T. Kerr, President and CEO of Arbitron Inc.; Larry E. Kittelberger, former SVP, Technology and Operations of Honeywell International, Inc.; , Luis G. Nogales, Managing Partner of Nogales Investors LLC and former Chairman and CEO of Embarcadero Media, Inc.; and Richard A. Post, former President and CEO of Autobytel Inc.

All members were returned to the board for a one-year term.

Arbitron is headquartered in Columbia, Maryland. It has further sales offices in New York City, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles and operations offices in Birmingham, Alabama, Dallas and Kochi, India.
