Tim WillkeIn the US, shopper research specialist Perception Research Services International (PRS) has appointed former Nielsen BASES leader Tim Willke as Executive Vice President.

Founded in 1972, PRS specializes in research to help marketers understand shoppers, and develop more effective packaging, category management and in-store marketing solutions. In addition to its US headquarters, the firm has offices in London, Rome, Geneva and Singapore.

Willke (pictured) joins from Nielsen’s forecasting division BASES, where he spent most of his career. For the past three years, he led all aspects of Nielsen’s business with Colgate-Palmolive, which included the management of a worldwide team of 250 staff in over 70 countries. Prior to this, he was Global President of BASES, and he led the business in North America and EMEA. He began his career with the firm in 1986 as an Analyst.

In his new role, Willke reports to PRS President Scott Young, who comments: ‘Tim's global experience and in-depth expertise in innovation forecasting at BASES are directly relevant to our business, as is his proven commitment to thought leadership and client service.
