The Puerto Rico Convention Bureau

November 16 2012

The Puerto Rico Convention Bureau (PRCB) has appointed Joyce Martinez as Director of Business Development and Research at its HQ in San Juan.

PRCB, which was established in 1962, organizes meetings, conventions, and trade shows to promote Puerto Rico to tourists and businesses, from its offices in San Juan, Chicago, New York, Miami, and Washington DC.

Most recently, Martinez worked there as a Marketing and Research Consultant, prior to which, she was an employee of the Bureau and served as AVP of Strategic Marketing Research, Director of Sales and Marketing for the US Hispanic and Latin America Markets, and Manager of Member Affairs. She previously worked as a Government Relations Coordinator for the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC.

Neil Mullanaphy, PRCB acting President and CEO, comments: ‘Joyce’s knowledge of our market and current meeting and convention industry trends is a huge asset in terms of our strategic outlooks and forward-thinking initiatives. Her experience in marketing, sales and membership services provide us with a wealth of institutional knowledge and know-how that will greatly benefit the Bureau as well as the island's meetings market in her new role.’
