
Canadian crowdsourcing technology firm Chaordix has appointed Gary Schultz as Chief Technology Officer, as former Director of User Experience Mike Barnlund moves into the role of Vice President, Product Innovation.
Calgary-based Chaordix helps organizations generate ideas for new products and services, predict market reaction and conduct other research. Its
Crowd Intelligence platform uses crowdsourcing to generate qual and quant research insights, and is used by professional services firm
KPMG to provide market intelligence to UK companies.
Schultz joins with more than two decades of software development, data modeling, and IT infrastructure experience. Most recently, he led technology infrastructure innovation and operations at S.I. Systems for multiple locations in Canada and India, managing an app development team responsible for web and mobile development, social media, ERP integration, and data warehouse analytics. Earlier, he worked for Accenture, Fatbrain.com, Sierra Systems Group, Neovia Financial, and Devon Energy.
In his new role, Schultz is tasked with extending the functionality of the company’s Crowd Intelligence platform and mixed data analytics, while meeting the scale and performance requirements of large, international crowdsourcing communities.
Barnlund, who joined the company in 2009, previously held software development roles at Agilabs Software and The Language Technology Centre.
