Czech-based social media measurement and analytics firm Socialbakers has appointed former Omniture SVP Neil Weston as Chief Operating Officer.

Socialbakers provides social media statistics and analysis from Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, and YouTube, to help companies monitor the effectiveness of their social media profiles and campaigns. As well as its base in Prague, the company has 230 staff members spread across offices in London, San Francisco, Paris, Munich, Sao Paolo, Mexico City, Dubai, and Istanbul.

Weston (pictured) joins in the UK from Adobe-owned web analytics giant Omniture, where he latterly served as General Manager of EMEA, and earlier as General Manager of APAC. Prior to this he was President of EMEA Sales at CRM software firm Seibel Systems, where he previously worked as VP for the UK and Northern Europe. Earlier in his career, he was President of Sales at software firm eWise Systems, and he held senior roles at Nuance Communications, Vignette, Oracle, Data General and Xerox.
