YouGov

November 26 2013

YouGov has appointed Tim Kane as Chief Marketing Officer, a new role aimed at increasing the awareness and understanding of the firm’s brand proposition among audiences including clients, panellists and the media. He reports to CEO Stephan Shakespeare and will be based in YouGov's New York office.

Most recently, Kane founded and led the Digital Branding practice at New York-based integrated comms consultancy Makovsky + Company. Previously, he worked as a senior creative director for a number of the world's largest marketing services firms, including McCann Erickson, J. Walter Thompson, Lowe Lintas, Ogilvy & Mather and DDB.

Shakespeare says Kane’s ‘breadth of agency experience in client-facing and creative roles will help to strengthen significantly [the company’s] marketing activities’. He adds: ‘This appointment reflects the scale of our ambition to extend the reach of our brand across the world so that it resonates with all our stakeholders, just as it does in the UK.’
