In the US, sample and data collection company SurveyHealthCare (SHC) has appointed John Castellano as Vice President of Business Development.

SHC was launched in 2009 by former All Global President Jerry Arbittier. The firm provides both panel and off-panel sampling methodologies to healthcare market research agencies, as well as access to more than two million healthcare professionals in the US and Canada, including physicians, pharmacists, nurses, dentists, medical/pharmacy directors, patients and healthcare opinion leaders.

Castellano (pictured) joins with more than 25 years' market research experience, nine of which were spent as Regional Vice President at Epocrates. More recently, he was SVP Healthcare at Critical Mix, and prior to Epocrates, he spent a decade at Total Research as Sales Manager, and nearly nine years at Harris Interactive in business development roles. He began his career at Elrick and Lavidge.

Commenting on the appointment, Arbittier said: 'We are thrilled to have John join SHC. His tenure and experience in the healthcare data collection business will be an asset as we continue our planned expansion to service a growing clientele'.
