Rebecca Coleman and Phoebe CheckerIn the UK, full service research agency Crowd DNA has appointed Rebecca Coleman in the newly created role of Knowledge Leader: Trends, while Phoebe Checker joins as Insight & Innovation Executive.

Formed in 2008, Shoreditch, London-based Crowd DNA conducts commercial and thought leadership research in areas such as media, fashion retail, technology and entertainment. The firm explores new trends, changing behavior and emergent opportunities through NPD and communications testing, audience segmentation, competitor analysis and social media tracking.

Coleman joins from retail and brand consultancy Fitch, where she served as a Trend Analyst. Prior to this, she was a freelance journalist and copywriter, and she worked at research and advisory firm Stylus.com – initially as a Researcher and latterly as Assistant Editor of Retail, Architecture & Spaces. Earlier, she held editorial roles at i-D Magazine.

In her new role, Coleman will work on the UK Tribes/Tribes Live youth insight project for Channel 4, as well as on Crowd DNA’s Framework multi-market approach to understanding youth culture.

Checker previously served as a Junior Account Executive at M&C Saatchi PR, Events and Experiential. Before this, she was a Showroom Assistant for fashion brand Tom Ford. At Crowd DNA, she will specialise in pinpointing and disseminating trends for clients.
