Tony SteelIn the US, data-driven customer relationship marketing (CRM) firm Merkle has appointed Tony Steel as Executive Vice President, of its Management Consulting Group.

Merkle has more than 2,400 employees based at its headquarters in Columbia, Md; and other offices in Bend, Or.; Boston; Charlottesville, Va.; Chicago; Denver; Hagerstown, Md.; Little Rock; London; Minneapolis; Montvale, NJ; Nanjing; New York; Philadelphia; Pittsburgh; San Francisco; and Shanghai.

Steel (pictured) joins after more than ten years at IBM Global Services, where he held several executive positions including the North American leader for IBM’s Smarter Commerce Growth Initiative and Managing Partner for South East Asian Growth Market. Prior to IBM, he spent ten years with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (PwC) as a Partner, leading the Sales Productivity consulting practice.

In his new role, Steel will focus on rolling out Merkle’s Connected CRM (cCRM) strategy and expertise. Tim Berry, President, CRM Capabilities, comments: ‘Tony’s impressive expertise in the consulting industry as well as his background in business services make him a perfect fit to lead Merkle’s Management Consulting Group.
