Bob FerroUS-based sample management and exchange platform Fulcrum has appointed industry veteran Bob Ferro as Executive Director, Client Development.

Developed by research technology firm Federated Sample over the past five years, and spun off as a separate business earlier this month, Fulcrum offers a platform for the buying and selling of sample, while providing a SaaS-based automated solution which supports custom surveys, tracking and consumer data collection. Last year, Fulcrum was adapted to work on almost any mobile device, and more recently the company launched a new integrated sample procurement tool called Fulcrum Bid Manager.

Ferro (pictured) joins with more than fifteen years of market research industry experience. Most recently, he served as Director, Channel Sales at online community specialist Passenger, prior to which, he was VP Global Business Development at presentation software firm Dapresy and he held the same job title at data collection company Opinionology. Earlier in his career, Ferro was Western Regional Director at Survey Sampling International (SSI), and he held senior sales roles at InsightExpress, Feedback Research, and Greenfield Online. He began his career at Apple, where he served as Marketing Manager.
