Kate BurnsUK-based insight and communications group Creston has appointed Kate Burns as Non-Executive Director (NED) and Chairman of its Remuneration Committee, replacing David Marshall, who is stepping down on Friday.

Burns(pictured) currently works at social ad technology specialist SHIFT.com as European MD, having previously served as VP EMEA at ad targeting specialist Drawbridge. Before this, she worked for social media network Bebo, becoming VP & MD Europe after its acquisition by AOL, before being promoted to AOL SVP Europe. Earlier, she was Google’s first non-US employee, when she initially served as MD for the UK and latterly worked there as Regional Director for the UK, Ireland and Benelux. During her career, Burns has also held senior roles at Altavista, DoubleClick, Ziff Davis and News International.

Richard Huntingford, Non-Executive Chairman, comments: ‘We are delighted that Kate is joining us.
