Jonathan Bear and Amanda BooteMR tools and software provider Infotools has promoted Jonathan Bear to the position of Managing Director of its office in Seattle, while hiring Amanda Boote as Business Director for Europe, based in its London office.

Founded in 1990 by Franklin and Ron Stroeven, the company focuses on converting marketing research data into a ‘knowledge bank’, through which it says clients can investigate, visualise and create stories. As well as its offices in Seattle and London, the firm has headquarters in Auckland, and additional offices in Wellington, Stockholm, Atlanta, Johannesburg, and Buenos Aires.

Bear joined in the 1990s in the UK, then later moved to New Zealand as an Account Director, and last year, relocated to Seattle to focus on Infotool’s relationship with Microsoft. Earlier in his career, he worked for Colmar Brunton and Research International.

Boote joins from Data Liberation where she served as Director of Sales & Marketing. Prior to this, she worked at Vision Critical as European Business Development Director in London, she was EVP Global Accounts at GfK, and Key Account and New Business Development Director at Synovate. Earlier, she held senior positions at Warner Home Video, Leatherhead Food International, Findus, Unilever, Premier Foods, and Avon Cosmetics.

Ant Franklin, Infotools CEO, comments: ‘We are really excited about what these two executives will contribute to the company’s strategic direction, specifically our commitment to growing our footprint globally. Jonathan’s appointment has come from his success at building strong business relationships with a broad range of people, both client side and internally. Similarly, Amanda’s career progression has proven her to be a strong, commercially-focused market researcher with a unique ability to combine senior business development, marketing and category management.’
