In the US, polling and consumer insights platform CivicScience has appointed Jake Sedlock as Vice President of Client Development, responsible for increasing the company’s market presence through sales and expanded client relationships.

CivicScience’s proprietary InsightStore platform is used to poll millions of people on questions relating to thousands of topics; while its data science and big data technology analyzes current consumer opinions, discovers trends as they start, and predicts future behavior and market outcomes. Last year, the firm introduced a new forecasting methodology called ‘Expectation Science’, to help make predictions about consumer markets and media consumption.

Sedlock (pictured) joins from WPP-owned research and communications consultancy Penn, Schoen, & Berland (PSB) where he served as VP of Marketing and Strategy, prior to which, he was SVP and Director of Sales and Marketing at branding specialist BAV Consulting. During his career, he also worked for Hall & Partners; was EVP and Global Key Account Manager at GfK; VP of Enterprise Sales at Lightspeed GMI; and Global Account Manager at Gartner.
