In the US, virtual shopping research specialist Decision Insight has appointed Doug Robertson as Vice President of Client Solutions.
Based in Kansas City, the company offers the
ShopperIQ range of solutions, which examine what consumers do while in an actual store environment. Manufacturers and retailers use the suite to measure the impact of various pricing strategies, evaluate and optimize packaging that impacts performance on the shelf, and test alternative in-store communications.
Robertson (pictured) joins with more than twenty years’ experience in leadership roles within the consumer packaged goods industry. This background includes category management, analytics and optimization, merchandising and shelf strategy, pricing, shopper insights, and retail management experience. Most recently he was Director of Merchandising Solutions at PetSmart, where he led teams responsible for assortment optimization, pricing, shelf strategy, and floor merchandising layouts. Earlier, he worked for Frito-Lay, Bayer, Safeway, SuperValu, and IRI.
In his new role, Robertson is responsible for partnering with clients to design, develop, and deliver shopper insight solutions and retail strategies.
