Intelligence and analytics provider Aurora WDC has appointed Carl Derenfeld as Director of Integrative Intelligence, at its office in the Chicagoland area.

Founded in 1995, Aurora WDC offers clients access to global primary research, competitive and market analysis, monitoring services, software and systems consulting, and other training services.

Derenfeld (pictured) joins after 35 years in leadership positions in both commercial and not-for-profit organizations. Most recently he led his own consultancy, providing customized research solutions to global healthcare and life science firms. Prior to this, he worked for Proactive Worldwide as SVP, Strategic Solutions – Healthcare Domain Specialist; before which, he worked for Verix as Industry Specialist, Biopharmaceutical Solutions. During his career, he also held senior positions at AmericasDoctor, United States Pharmacopeia, GD Searle, and Boots Pharmaceuticals.

In his new role, Derenfeld will be responsible for multi-site integration of client engagement and program performance on a worldwide basis.
