Social media management platform Hootsuite has appointed former Socialbakers exec Simon Trilsbach as Vice President, Asia Pacific, responsible for growing its presence across the region.

The Vancouver-based company, which also has offices in Singapore and London, has developed a social media relationship platform which is available in sixteen languages and has more than ten million users.

Trilsbach (pictured) joins the Singapore office with more than ten years’ business growth experience across the APAC region. Most recently, he was Vice President, APAC at social media monitoring firm Socialbakers, responsible for leading go-to-market strategy, territory plans, sales execution, culture and leadership to ensure growth in the region. Prior to this, he spent five years at Experian, latterly as General Manager - Marketing Services SEA, HK and Taiwan, having earlier worked as Head of Strategic Sales.
