Home improvement specialist Lowe’s Companies has promoted Erin Sellman to Senior Vice President of Strategy, Insights and Planning, reporting to Marci Grebstein, who has been moved up to the role of Chief Marketing Officer.
Lowe’s Companies serves approximately sixteen million customers a week in the United States, Canada and Mexico through its stores and online at Lowes.com. Sellman (pictured) joined in 2004 as Engagement Manager, and more recently served as VP, Strategy & Alignment. In her new role, she is in charge of a team of strategy and insights professionals, who provide consumer and market information to the firm’s management, and translate those insights into business strategies. Prior to joining Lowe’s, she held strategy and consulting positions with A.T. Kearney and Arthur Andersen.
Sellman reports to Grebstein, who most recently led the US advertising strategy and marketing operations, and previously worked for retail companies Food Lion and Staples.
Michael Jones, Chief Customer Officer, comments: ‘Marci’s deep experience in retail marketing will help Lowe’s continue to create more personalized and relevant communications to consumers. And Erin’s innovative thinking and data-driven insights will help Lowe’s continue to develop effective strategies for the future and further enhance the customer experience across all consumer touch points.’
