Dr. Marc MatarGerman product, pricing and marketing strategy specialist Simon-Kucher & Partners has promoted Dr. Marc Matar to the role of Partner in charge of its Life Sciences practice in the UK. The firm has also promoted seven other members of staff.

Founded in 1985, Simon-Kucher offers customer segmentation, market forecasting, loyalty programmes, pricing and sales force training. The company employs 800 professionals in 29 offices around the globe. Matar (pictured) joined the firm in 2006, initially in the Paris office, before relocating to London. He is a specialist in strategic pharmaceutical marketing, market entry strategies, product lifecycle strategies and market access and pricing for the healthcare industry, advising pharma and biotech companies across a wide range of therapeutic areas.

The others promoted to the role of Partner are:
  • Christoph Bauer, who joined in Frankfurt in 2009, and works in the company’s Banking practice. He specializes in pricing, digital sales, and behavioral economics in retail banking, with a geographic focus on Germany and Scandinavia.
  • Grigori Bokeria, who works out of Simon-Kucher’s Cologne office and serves companies in the B2B industries, especially in the areas of machinery and plant engineering as well as electronics and electrical engineering.
  • Joshua Goodman who has more than fifteen years of experience in the healthcare sector and is based in the consultancy’s Boston office, where he helped establish the company’s US medical technology practice.
  • Lovrenc Kessler who joined the company’s Munich office in 2007, and now heads the Dubai office, where he is responsible for operations across the Middle East.
  • David Lee who has been with the firm since 2009, having joined after working at AccessClosure, Boston Scientific, and Ethicon (a Johnson & Johnson business). He is based in San Francisco and leads the firm’s medical technology practice on the West Coast.
  • Christoph Petzoldt who now heads Simon-Kucher’s office in Sydney and is responsible for the company’s business in Australia and New Zealand. He has fifteen years of international consulting experience.
  • Antoine Weill who joined the firm’s office in Frankfurt in 2011, having previously been a Manager at motor industry consultancy Carlisle & Company, and a Product Manager at BMW. He currently serves global automotive, truck and heavy-equipment clients.
