In California, crowdsourcing software developer Spigit has appointed Foresee Results founder Larry Freed as a new member of its Board.

Spigit develops cloud software for crowdsourcing, which is used by companies to drive their innovation initiatives, to engage employees, and bring new offerings to clients. The firm is a subsidiary of mind mapping and innovation management software company Mindjet, which recently raised $13m in a new financing round.

Freed (pictured) is the current CEO and Managing Partner at consulting firm 2nd Stage Partners, which helps early stage and second stage companies grow their businesses. Before this, he founded and was CEO of customer experience measurement and predictive analytics specialist Foresee Results, which was acquired by Q&A platform Answers.com in 2014. Earlier in his career, Freed spent more than fourteen years at Bank One in a variety of positions, including CTO; and he was VP at Compuware Corporation.
