US multilingual text analytics specialist Basis Technology has appointed Eric von Eckartsberg as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Business Development.

von Eckartsberg (pictured) joins with a background of sales and business development positions in both private companies and for the US government. Most recently, he worked for cyber security business RedSeal as Director, National Security Programs, prior to which, he has held senior sales and business development roles at Digital Reasoning Systems, Perceptive Pixel, Endeca Technologies, and Visual Sciences (acquired by Omniture/Adobe).

In his new role, von Eckartsberg is tasked with addressing client demand for text analytics around the world. CEO Carl Hoffman commented: ‘Eric has the vision we need in senior management – the right blend of enterprise experience and depth to grow the company to the next level.
