
Verisk Analytics has promoted its CFO Mark Anquillare to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer. Former Treasurer and Chief Knowledge Officer Eva Huston will step up into the CFO role.
In his new role Anquillare, a 24-year veteran of the company, is responsible for Verisk's financial processes and systems, financial analysis and accounting, as well as tax reporting, treasury, investor relations, acquisition strategies and product development.
Anquillare joined Verisk's ISO subsidiary in 1992 as Director - Financial Systems. He became Vice President and Controller in 2000, SVP and CFO in 2007, and EVP and CFO in 2011. Prior to joining, he worked at the the Prudential Insurance Company of America. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from the Rutgers Graduate School of Management.
Huston joined the company in 2009 as Head of Investor Relations and played an important role in Verisk's IPO - she was then appointed treasurer in 2011, adding responsibilities in 2012 and 2013. Prior to Verisk, she worked as an MD in telecom, media, and technology investment banking at J.P. Morgan. She is a graduate of Georgetown University.
Verisk has been active in the acquisition and disposal game of late, selling its Salt Lake City-based healthcare services division to an affiliate of private equity firm Veritas Capital for $820m
last month, and
buying Edinburgh-based research and consulting company Wood Mackenzie last year for around $2.8bn. In November it
boosted Wood Mackenzie with the addition of chemicals and plastics group PCI.
