Pam CusickIn the US, patient panel community Rare Patient Voice has appointed Pam Cusick as Vice President of Business Development.

Founded in 2013, Maryland-based Rare Patient Voice provides patients and caregivers with rare diseases an opportunity to voice their opinions through surveys and interviews to improve medical products and services.

Cusick (pictured) joins with more than 25 years’ research experience, focusing on healthcare and patient education. For the past six years, she has worked for healthcare management and technology and solutions provider ARDX as Special Projects Manager, prior to which, she spent a decade as an independent research consultant. Earlier in her career, she worked for NFO, Prospect Associates (American Institutes for Research), and the John Hopkins Medical Institutions.

In her new role, Cusick will focus on expanding current patient research panels, identifying rare disease categories to expand patient networks, and sharing expertise with potential clients. The firm said in a statement: ‘Pam’s mission is to give patients in every disease category the opportunity to share their opinions with the organizations that impact their lives, and to ensure that these organizations know that patients are available and want to be heard.’
