US business intelligence resource EnsembleIQ has appointed Mike McMahon as President and Executive Director of its Path to Purchase Institute, replacing founder Peter Hoyt who is now CEO and President of EnsembleIQ.
The Path to Purchase Institute is a global association for retailers, brands and those involved with understanding the path-to-purchase. McMahon (pictured) joins from Oracle, where he latterly served as Head of Shopper Marketing. Before this, he was SVP Marketing at ConAgra Foods, EVP of Alcone Marketing Group, and Director of Marketing for Nestle USA.

Hoyt, who set up the Path to Purchase Institute (formerly known as the In-Store Marketing Institute) in 1988, to serve the needs of retailers, brands and other providers along the path to purchase. Commenting on the appointment, Hoyt said: ‘With the Path to Purchase Institute joining EnsembleIQ’s integrated cross-channel network of media and information resources, we now have a tremendous capacity to help people and their businesses succeed. Mike is the perfect choice to lead that charge.’
