In the Czech Republic, social media monitoring and analytics specialist Socialbakers has promoted John Malatesta to the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Executive Vice President TeleWeb Sales.

Launched in 2009 and with additional offices in the UK and US, Socialbakers helps clients build, measure, and manage their social media presence, monitor competition, and develop best practice benchmarks. Malatesta (pictured) joined a year ago as CMO and EVP, having previously held senior marketing roles at Schneider Electric, Kaspersky, Oracle, and Sun Microsystems. He began his career as EMEA Marketing Executive at IBM.

In his new role, Malatesta will be responsible for all marketing, communication and digital disciplines, as well as the SMB TeleWeb channel. He reports to CEO Robert Lang, who comments: ‘John is a strategic addition to the Socialbakers leadership team.
