In the UK, data collection and processing business Populus Data Solutions (PDS) has appointed Gemma Stephenson as Survey Manager.

Launched by polling firm Populus in 2011, PDS provides online field and tab services using its own panel (Populuslive), alongside random online sampling techniques. The company also has its own in-house CATI operation. Stephenson (pictured) joins with fifteen years' MR industry experience. For the past four, she worked at Facts International as Project Director, taking a leading role in key client management and the delivery of complex projects across all major data collection methods. Before this, she was Business Development Manager at online qual specialist ActiveGroup Ventures, and New Product Manager at e-Rewards.

Commenting on the appointment, Chris Atkins, who moves into the role of PDS MD from 1st April, said: 'We are delighted to welcome Gemma to PDS. She will be a great addition to our Survey Management team and our clients will benefit from her professional experience at every stage of the data collection process across online and CATI work'.
