Andrew GilbertLocal audience data specialist Eyeota has appointed Andrew Gilbert as Commercial Director for Australia and New Zealand, based in the firm's Sydney office.

Eyeota offers access to an audience technology platform through which marketers, data owners and research companies can access data to understand customers and enhance their marketing strategies. Last year, the firm raised $12.5m in a Series B round of funding, part of which it is using to support product development and expand its team.

Gilbert (pictured) joins with more than eight years' marketing and ad experience. For the past three years, he worked at advertising intelligence specialist Integral Ad Science (IAS) as Director of Sales for Australia and New Zealand, leading the Sales and Account Management team and partnering with brands, agencies, publishers and tech platforms. Prior to this, he was Digital Marketing Manager - Data, Performance and Search at Vodafone Australia; and he spent four years at marcoms agency Ikon Communications, covering both their Sydney and Brisbane offices.

Commenting on the appointment, Aaron Jackson, MD International, said: 'Andrew has a deep understanding of the programmatic landscape and the digital agency ecosystem across the ANZ markets; and from his time in a leadership position at IAS, Andrew understands the importance of a strong and consistent data strategy for clients through all facets including insights, planning and activation.
