San Francisco-based mobile marketing platform YouAppi has appointed Sawato (Stephan) Yoshii as Country Manager for Japan, managing eleven staff.

The firm was founded in 2012 and provides a full-funnel solution enabling marketers to manage and grow their mobile revenues. Japanese venture capital firm Global Brain is an investor, and YouAppi has Asian offices in Tokyo, Beijing, Seoul, Singapore, Jakarta and Bangalore.

Yoshii joins from mobile marketing and ad platform InMobi, where he was Head of sales in Japan - before this he was Country Manager for WPP's profiling and programmatic division Xaxis, and earlier, he worked for Dentsu ad agency Opt. He holds a degree in Marketing and Communications from the University of Hong Kong and is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Japanese.

Moshe Vaknin, CEO & co-founder of YouAppi says Japan is a strategically important mobile market: 'That's why YouAppi has invested resources in Japan... Now, with [Yoshii] our Country Manager in Japan, I'm confident that we'll grow our local business exponentially'.

YouAppi's platform allows clients to acquire and re-engage users, and optimize performance beyond the install according to KPIs including ROI, CPA, Return On Ad Spend and Cost of First Purchase. The tool makes use of machine learning to build custom audiences, with real-time data processing and granular segmentation.
