Dave CameronIn the US, marketing technology company NaviStone has appointed data scientist Dave Cameron as Vice President of Analytics.

Cincinnati-based NaviStone helps advertisers convert their web site visitors into direct mail customers, using proprietary technology that connects browsers to postal name and addresses and enables retargeting via individualized direct mail. Cameron (pictured) joins from predictive intelligence specialist Motista with more than 25 years' data science experience. He previously spent twelve years at Nielsen, latterly as VP, Data Science, in charge of a team of analysts and providing analytics thought leadership. Earlier, he was Nielsen's VP, Global Consumer Segmentation, overseeing a 24-person global analytics team; and he was VP, for its Statistical Center of Innovation, focused on communicating the business value of new statistical and computational methodologies. Before Nielsen, Cameron spent nearly five years at data-driven CRM and performance marketing agency Merkle, working on the statistical modeling of attributes for consumer acquisition, retention and profit.

In his new role, Cameron will take a strategic approach to solving data problems, balancing learning and innovation with efficiency and automation.
