US omnichannel retailer Kohl's Corporation, which has more than 1,100 stores in 49 states, has appointed former dunnhumby exec Yael Cosset as a new member of its Board of Directors.

Cosset (pictured) is currently SVP, Chief Information Officer of retail giant The Kroger Co, having previously been the firm's Global Vice President and Chief Digital Officer, and Chief Information Officer / Chief Commercial Officer of 84.51, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kroger. Prior to this, Cosset held senior management positions at customer data science firm dunnhumby, where he latterly served as Global Chief Information Officer. Earlier in his career, he held senior management positions at business intelligence and analytics enterprise software company MicroStrategy Incorporated.

At Kohl's, Cosset will initially serve on the Board of Directors' Governance and Nominating Committee. Frank Sica, Kohl's Chairman, comments: 'Yael is a seasoned executive leader who brings technology and digital expertise with notable retail and consumer brands. This digital experience and his deep understanding of customer analytics, innovation and transformation in the retail sector will be valuable assets to Kohl's, and we look forward to his contributions to the Board.'
