Paul KnegtenContent discovery and personalisation platform Outbrain has hired Paul Knegten for its newly created role of Chief Marketing Officer, charged with expanding the organization's global marketing efforts.

Outbrain combines delivery of personalized online, mobile and video content with data to help publishers understand and engage audiences. Last year, the firm became a public company, via an IPO of 8m shares of common stock.

Knegten (pictured) joins from Comcast's CTV platform FreeWheel, where he served as Executive Director, Marketing, before which, he was CMO of AdTech firm Beeswax (acquired by Comcast last year). Prior to this he was an Advisor at Eyeview and Drawbridge, and he served as VP of Marketing at MediaMath. Earlier, Knegten was Head of Marketing at Dapper (acquired by Yahoo! in 2010).

In his new role, Knegten is tasked with promoting Outbrain's global brand and marketing initiatives.
