In Birmingham, UK, social research agency M.E.L Research has appointed Bronwyn Vermaat as a Research Manager in its quantitative team.

M.E.L has grown headcount from 9 to 15 researchers in the last six months, in addition to adding support roles. The company works in a wide variety of public sector and social areas including health, education, waste and resource, wellbeing, housing and development, policing, culture, transport and infrastructure, as well as employee and customer experience.

Vermaat (pictured) joins from Vanson Bourne, and brings four years' research experience, including end-to-end project management skills and understanding of the technology sector. Earlier she worked in short term roles as a researcher at the University of Exeter and the Transport Research Laboratory.
