Jessica ShapiroSan Francisco-based enterprise data connectivity and analytics platform LiveRamp has appointed Jessica Shapiro as Chief Marketing Officer, reporting directly to CEO Scott Howe.

LiveRamp enables companies and their partners to better connect, control, and activate data to transform customer experiences. The firm was acquired by Acxiom Corporation in 2014, but by 2018 had become such a key part of it that Acxiom sold its original Marketing Solutions business (AMS) to marcoms giant Interpublic Group, with the remaining unit taking the LiveRamp name.

Shapiro (pictured) joins from contract lifecycle management firm Icertis, where she most recently served as VP, Global Demand Generation and Regional Marketing, before which, she held the same title at integrated travel, expense, and invoice management solutions business SAP Concur. Earlier, she was Head of Brand & Communications at eCommerce platform Zulily; Director, US Marketing at Starbucks; and she spent seven years at Microsoft, latterly as Director, MSN Product Marketing.

Commenting on the appointment, Howe said: 'Jessica's deep understanding of data-driven marketing and her versatility having led a variety of marketing functions for some of the most notable B2B and B2C companies makes her uniquely qualified to be LiveRamp's CMO.'
