In the US, consumer behaviour analyst Near Intelligence is giving its General Counsel, Jay Angelo the additional position of Chief Privacy Officer.
Headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in Silicon Valley, Paris, Bangalore, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo, the firm uses patented technology to bring together and analyse consumers' off-line and online data from disparate sources, giving insights on approximately 1.6 billion unique user IDs across 70 million places in more than 44 countries.
Angelo (pictured) is a tech attorney with legal, compliance and operational experience, advising private and public companies. Before joining Near Intelligence last year, he worked for Apple as Head of External Engagement and Strategic Planning, responsible for the use of data and analytics in legal operations. Earlier he was Head of Legal Technology and Innovation for Smiths Group, where he spent a decade; and he held senior roles at Move Inc., LGC Wireless and J2 Global Communications.
