UK Agency Populus Promotes Seven

UK research agency Populus has promoted seven members of staff, including Laurence Stellings to the position of Director in its Reputation and Strategy division, and Daisy Powell-Chandler to Senior Consultant.

Founded in 2003 by former Tory party staff Michael Simmonds, Andrew Cooper (now known as Lord Cooper of Windrush) and Rick Nye, Populus is best known for its work in polling and political research, and was previously pollster to the Times newspaper. Stellings joined straight from University as a Research Executive in 2006, while Powell-Chandler joined from the Conservative Party in 2013 as a Senior Research Executive and leads much of the firm's work with the charity sector.

In addition, the firm has promoted five members of staff to the position of Associate Director. In the Business & Consumer Insight division, these include Tom Anderson who joined from the BBC in 2014, and is now an AD in the Qualitative team; Laura Anderson, who joined last year as a Research Manager from the Media & Technology team at Future Thinking, and is now an AD in the Quantitative team; Helen Clegg, who joined as an RE in 2010, and also becomes an AD in the Quantitative team; and Tom Scrimgour, who joined the firm nearly two years ago. In the Reputation & Strategy team, David Rowson has been promoted to the post of AD, having worked for the firm since 2011.
