Fiftyfive5 Names First Head of Pharma

Australian insights consultancy Fiftyfive5 has promoted company partner Alan King for a newly created position, Head of Pharma, based in its Sydney office.

The firm was launched in 2010 by three former Directors of The Leading Edge: Karen Phillips, Mark Sundquist and Darren Kemp; and in 2018 it merged with brand development and consumer insights agency GalKal.

King (pictured) joined nearly six years ago from M&C Saatchi-owned brand research specialist Clear, where he latterly served as MD Australia, having earlier been MD for the UK. Earlier, he was Research Director at Research International, having begun his career as an Account Manager at Colmar Brunton.

Commenting on the promotion, Sundquist said: 'Pharma is a key growth driver for the business and Alan is the perfect person to capture and build on the momentum we already have in this space. We have a large team of skilled pharma practitioners and we are excited about the significant opportunity that exists'.
