Former Nielsen Exec Krepsik Named Next Quotient CEO

March 25 2022

California-based digital media analytics specialist Quotient has announced that Chief Technology Officer and former long-time Nielsen exec Matthew Krepsik will become Chief Executive Officer when founder Steven Boal retires from the role at the end of this year.

Matthew KrepsikQuotient, which has offices across the US as well as in Bangalore, Paris, London and Tel Aviv, offers a proprietary measurement solution and exclusive shopper data to deliver personalized digital coupons and ads to millions of shoppers each day, based on online behavior and engagement data. Boal set up the company (then called Coupons.com) in 1998, and has been serving as both CEO and Chairman. The two roles have now been split and the Board has elected former Procter & Gamble Chairman and CEO Robert McDonald as its non-executive Chair.

Krepsik (pictured) joined the firm last year as Chief Analytics Officer, before being promoted to CTO. He previously spent more than sixteen years at Nielsen, latterly serving as GM of Outcomes Products, covering attribution, media planning and activation products, and earlier as Global Head of Analytics Products. In addition, he played a part in Nielsen's strategic review process, which culminated in the sale of its NielsenIQ business to Advent International for $2.7 billion.

Boal comments: 'Since Matt joined last year, he has proven himself to be an invaluable member of the leadership team. Quotient will leverage his strengths to capitalize on growth opportunities and continue to differentiate the company as a leader in digital media. The CEO transition announced today follows a nearly year-long planning by the Board, and we expect the transition to be seamless as we continue to perform and deliver on our long-term growth plans'.
