Stagwell Expands to Latin America

April 14 2022

Marcoms group Stagwell, owner of the Harris and Harris Poll brands, has opened an office in Brazil. The new venture will be led by Vinicius Reis as President, alongside Andre Kassu, CCO & Partner at Stagwell agency CPB Brazil, and Marcos Medeiros, CCO & Partner CPB Brazil.

Vinicius ReisFormed in 2015 by Mark Penn, co-founder of consultancy Penn Schoen Berland, Stagwell's portfolio includes research and analytics firms Harris Insights & Analytics; Nielsen Mobile Insights Survey and Total Communications Survey, now known as HarrisX; and former Nielsen entertainment research subsidiary NRG. Penn was previously Chairman and CEO of MDC Partners - which comprised more than 50 companies including a number of market research, shopper marketing and data and analytics specialists, and which was merged with Stagwell Group last year.

Stagwell Brazil is the group's second international venture, following the recent launch of an office in Singapore to support growth across Asia-Pacific. Reis (pictured) will lead the new office, while continuing to head up operations at CP+B Brazil. Earlier he served as CEO of Havas Digital and held international exec roles at DDB Miami and Lowe Worldwide.

Penn comments: 'We're excited to enter this new chapter of our ambitious global expansion, returning to a region I've long believed to be the front door to international expansion for modern brands. Stagwell Brazil will be a crucial player in the LATAM marketing ecosystem as we continue to grow our best-in-class offering for global clients'.
